There were 4.0 million job openings in November, little changed from October. The number of job openings was little changed over the month in total private industry and government, as well as in all industries and in all four geographical regions.

In November, job openings numbered over 700,000 in both trade, transportation, and utilities and professional and business services. There were 139,000 job openings in construction and 297,000 in manufacturing.
