Michigan had the second-highest share of total nonfarm employment in durable goods manufacturing. Other states with large shares include Wisconsin, Ohio, Alabama, and Mississippi. Alaska and Hawaii had the smallest share (0.6 percent), followed by Wyoming, Delaware, Maryland, and Nevada.
