Job openings increase 445,000 over the year ending June 2016

From June 2015 to June 2016, the total number of job openings increased to 5.6 million, an increase of 445,000. Health care and social assistance had the largest increase in job openings (100,000), followed by manufacturing (93,000), leisure and hospitality (69,000), and government (59,000). Professional and business services had the largest decline in job openings over the year ending June 2016 (–78,000).
