Camden and Dallas had highest percent increases in employment for year ended February 2017

From February 2016 to February 2017, nonfarm payroll employment increased in 34 of the 38 metropolitan divisions and fell in 4. The largest over-the-year percentage increase in employment among the metropolitan divisions occurred in Camden, New Jersey, and Dallas-Plano-Irving, Texas (+3.7 percent each). The largest over-the-year percentage decrease occurred in Lawrence-Methuen Town-Salem, Massachusetts-New Hampshire (-1.1 percent).

From February 2016 to February 2017, other metropolitan divisions with a percentage increase in employment greater than or equal to 2.5 percent were Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, Washington (3.0 percent each); Fort Worth-Arlington, Texas (2.8 percent); and Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Deerfield Beach, Florida and Tacoma-Lakewood, Washington (2.5 percent each).
Other areas with a percentage decrease in employment from February 2016 to February 2017 were Lake County-Kenosha County, Illinois-Wisconsin (−0.9 percent), Lynn-Saugus-Marblehead, Massachusetts (−0.2 percent), and Dutchess County-Putnam County, New York (−0.1 percent).
