Import air passenger fares fall 2.6 percent over the year; export fares rise 4.3 percent

Import air passenger fares declined 2.6 percent from July 2016 to July 2017. European (−9.6 percent) and Asian (−1.3 percent) import air passenger fares were down over the year, while Latin American and Caribbean fares increased 5.8 percent.

Export air passenger fares increased 4.3 percent from July 2016 to July 2017. Latin American and Caribbean fares (3.2 percent) and European (2.8 percent) export air passenger fares increased over the year, while Asian fares decreased 6.0 percent.
