From August 2008 to August 2018, employment increased for all 51 metropolitan areas with a Census 2010 population of 1 million or more. On average, employment increased 12.1 percent. Over that period, Austin-Round Rock, Texas, had the largest 10-year percent change (35.3 percent), followed by Nashville-Davidson--Murfreesboro--Franklin, Tennessee (25.7 percent).
