Import air passenger fares fall 9.6 percent over the year ending January 2020

Import air passenger fares declined 9.6 percent for the 12 months ended January 2020. European (−9.6 percent) and Asian (−5.0 percent) import air passenger fares were down over the year, while Latin American and Caribbean fares increased 0.5 percent.

Export air passenger fares decreased 1.2 percent from January 2019 to January 2020. Latin American and Caribbean fares (4.5 percent) and Asian (1.1 percent) export air passenger fares increased over the year, while European fares decreased 7.5 percent.
