Note: Estimates for time spent in educational activities among foreign-born Hispanic men and women were suppressed because they did not meet the ATUS publication standards.

Foreign-born Hispanic or Latino women spent 3.2 hours doing household activities while native-born Hispanic or Latino women spent 2.2 hours doing so. These time-use estimates likely reflect higher labor force participation rates among foreign-born Hispanic or Latino men and lower labor force participation rates among foreign-born Hispanic or Latino women.

These data are from the Current Population Survey and and the American Time Use Survey. Also see more charts of Current Population Survey data and American Time Use Survey data. The labor force participation rate is the number of people employed or actively seeking jobs as a percent of the civilian noninstitutional population.
