Prices for U.S. exports decreased 7.9 percent over the year ended July 2023. The 12-month percent change in U.S. export prices was up from its recent low in June 2023 (−11.9 percent) but down from its recent peak in mid-2022 (18.6 percent).

From July 2022 to July 2023, U.S. export prices declined for agricultural exports (−5.8 percent), foods, feeds, & beverages (−5.4 percent), and industrial supplies & materials (−18.9 percent). These 12-month percent changes were also up from their recent lows in June 2023.
Over the year ended July 2023, U.S. export prices increased for capital goods (2.0 percent), automotive vehicles, parts & engines (2.1 percent), and consumer goods, excluding automotives (2.6 percent).
