Final demand producer prices up 5.5 percent over the year ended June 2026

The Producer Price Index for final demand increased 5.5 percent for the 12 months ended June 2026. Prices for final demand goods increased 7.9 percent. Final demand services prices increased 4.6 percent over the year. Within the goods category, producer prices for final demand energy increased 23.0 percent over the year. Prices for final demand foods were up 1.8 percent. Prices for final demand goods less food and energy increased 5.1 percent.

Within the services category, prices for final demand transportation and warehousing services increased 13.9 percent. Prices for final demand trade services increased 3.3 percent. Prices for final demand services less trade, transportation, and warehousing increased 4.2 percent during this 12-month period.

In June 2026, prices for final demand construction were 3.5 percent higher compared with June 2025.
