With flu season in full swing, let’s examine how many U.S. workers had access to paid leave benefits last year.
Eighty percent of private industry workers had access to paid sick leave in 2025. In the Pacific census division, 98.0 percent of workers had access to paid sick leave benefits, followed by 89.0 percent of workers in the New England division, and 88.0 percent of workers in the Middle Atlantic division. Sixty-three percent of workers in the East South Central census division had access to paid sick leave in 2025.
