American Time Use Survey Well‐Being Module Microdata Files

This page includes links to the 2010 ATUS Well-Being (WB) Module microdata files and supporting documentation. Researchers can use the WB Module microdata files to produce their own estimates or do other analyses. Each ZIP file contains a data file along with computer programs that will read the data file into SAS, SPSS, and Stata. The data files are in CSV-format (comma-separated values). The microdata files do not contain estimates.

2010 ATUS WB Module Data Files

  • ATUS 2010 WB Respondent file (zip) (0.2 MB) The WB Respondent file contains information about WB respondents, including general health information and WB Module respondent-level statistical weights.
  • ATUS 2010 WB Activity file (zip) (0.9 MB) The WB Activity file includes the activity-level information collected in the WB Module, including activity number, and information about how the respondent felt during the selected activities.
  • UPDATED: The WB Activity file was re-released on May 21, 2014. There was an error in the activity selection process for the 2010 Well-Being Module to the ATUS. The adjusted activity replicate weights (WUFNACTWTC) help mitigate this error. Read More
