May jobless rates up in 3 states, down in 2; payroll jobs little changed in all states

In May, unemployment rates were higher in 3 states, lower in 2 states, and stable in 45 states and the District of Columbia. Nonfarm payroll employment was essentially unchanged in all 50 states and the District.
