The National Longitudinal Surveys (NLS) are a set of surveys designed to gather information at multiple points in time on the labor market activities and other significant life events of several groups of men and women. Learn about the different NLS surveys.
The NLS program at the Bureau of Labor Statistics is planning for the start of a new youth cohort - the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 2027 (NLSY27)! The NLSY27 will enable researchers to examine how the lessons learned using previous NLS cohorts may have changed over time, as well as permit the study of new factors affecting the lives and labor market experiences of a new generation.
