The largest over-the-year percentage gain in employment occurred in Ithaca, New York (+5.5 percent), followed by Yuba City, California (+5.4 percent); Grants Pass, Oregon; and Lake Charles, Louisiana (+5.3 percent each).
The largest over-the-year decreases in employment occurred in Lafayette, Louisiana (−8,800); Houma-Thibodaux, Louisiana (−6,600); and Peoria, Illinois (−4,700). The largest over-the-year percentage decrease in employment occurred in Casper, Wyoming (−9.5 percent), followed by Houma-Thibodaux, Louisiana (−7.2 percent); and Lafayette, Louisiana (−4.3 percent).
