The largest over-the-year percentage increase in employment occurred in State College, Pennsylvania (+8.0 percent), followed by Sebring, Florida (+5.8 percent), and St. George, Utah (+5.4 percent). The largest over-the-year employment gains occurred in New York-Newark-Jersey City, New York-New Jersey-Pennsylvania (+151,500), Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, Texas (+115,800), and Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, Georgia (+81,900).
The largest over-the-year percentage decrease in employment occurred in Casper, Wyoming (–4.8 percent), followed by Houma-Thibodaux, Louisiana (–4.7 percent), and Beckley, West Virginia (–3.5 percent). The largest over-the-year decreases in employment occurred in Houma-Thibodaux, Louisiana (–4,200), Shreveport-Bossier City, Louisiana (–3,000), and Rochester, New York (–2,700).
