From November 2016 to November 2017, nonfarm payroll employment increased in 27 states and the District of Columbia. Employment in the other 23 states was essentially unchanged over the year. The largest percentage increases in employment occurred in Utah (2.8 percent), followed by Nevada and Texas (2.7 percent each).
