Nonfarm employment rose by 2,281,000 over the year ended February 2018

From February 2017 to February 2018, total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 2,281,000, or 1.6 percent. Employment in mining and logging increased by 58,000 over the year, an increase of 8.9 percent, while construction added 254,000 jobs, or 3.7 percent.
