In 2014, the largest proportion of workers with a disability (21.2 percent) worked in education and health services. The smallest share (0.9 percent) worked in the mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry.

Women with a disability were most likely to work in education and health services (33 percent) and least likely to work in mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction (0.2 percent) in 2014. The largest share of men with a disability (14.2 percent) worked in manufacturing. Like women with a disability, men with a disability were least likely to work in mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction (1.5 percent).
In 2014, workers with a disability were more likely to work in retail trade than those without a disability (13 percent compared with 11 percent).
