The largest over-the-year percentage gains in employment occurred in Ocean City, New Jersey (+8.5 percent), Reno, Nevada (+5.6 percent), and Gainesville, Georgia (+5.2 percent).

The largest over-the-year percentage increases in employment in large metropolitan areas (areas with a 2010 Census population of at least 1 million) occurred in Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford, Florida (+3.5 percent), Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, Texas, and Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, Arizona (+3.2 percent each), and Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land, Texas; Nashville-Davidson--Murfreesboro--Franklin, Tennessee; and Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, WA (+2.8 percent each).
The largest over-the-year employment increases occurred in New York-Newark-Jersey City, New York-New Jersey-Pennsylvania (+139,600), Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, Texas (+115,600), and Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land, Texas (+86,200).
