U.S. export prices increased 15.1 percent from January 2021 to January 2022. The 12-month change has been above 14.0 percent since April 2021. Between 2012 and 2020, the largest 12-month changes in export prices were 5.3 percent (in June 2018) and −7.3 percent (September 2015).

Prices for agricultural exports rose 18.0 percent over the past 12 months. Since January 2012, the 12-month change in agricultural export prices has ranged from −17.0 percent (in May 2015) to 33.7 percent (May 2021).
Prices for nonagricultural exports increased 14.7 percent for the year ended in January 2022. Over the past decade, the 12-month change in nonagricultural export prices has been between −7.2 percent (April 2020) and 17.7 percent (November 2021).
