Final demand goods producer prices up 2.0 percent over the year ended March 2023

The Producer Price Index for final demand increased 2.7 percent from March 2022 to March 2023. The index for final demand goods rose 2.0 percent over the year. Final demand prices for services rose 2.8 percent over the year.

Final demand prices for foods rose 5.1 percent over the year ended March 2023. Final demand prices for energy decreased 7.2 percent. Prices for goods less foods and energy rose 4.3 percent.

Final demand prices for trade services rose 2.4 percent over the year. Prices for transportation and warehousing services rose 0.5 percent. Prices for services less trade, transportation, and warehousing rose 3.1 percent.
