Final demand producer prices up 2.6 percent over the year ended August 2025

Final demand producer prices rose 2.6 percent from August 2024 to August 2025. The index for final demand less foods, energy, and trade services moved up 2.8 percent, the largest 12-month advance since climbing 3.5 percent in March 2025.

Over the year ending August 2025, final demand producer prices for goods rose 2.1 percent. Final demand prices for foods were up 3.5 percent while prices for energy were down 1.9 percent.
Producer prices for services rose 2.9 percent over the year, with prices for trade up 2.9 percent. Prices for transportation and warehousing were up 2.4 percent. Prices for services less trade, transportation, and warehousing rose 2.9 percent.
