Job openings rate 8.8 percent in Colorado in October 2024

In October 2024, the job openings rate was 8.8 percent in Colorado, 6.6 percent in Alaska, and 6.5 percent in Kentucky and West Virginia. Job openings rates were 6.0 percent or higher in five other states: Maine, Virginia, Oklahoma, Mississippi and South Carolina.

The job openings rate was 3.3 percent in California. Four other states had rates below 4.0 percent: Washington, Texas, Hawaii, and Pennsylvania.

The national job openings rate was 4.6 percent in October 2024, compared with 5.2 percent a year earlier.
