U.S. import nonmonetary gold prices up 37.3 percent over year ended May 2026

Import prices for nonmonetary gold rose 37.3 percent from May 2025 to May 2026. The most recent year-over-year decline occurred in March 2023, when prices were down 4.9 percent.

Other precious metals import prices also advanced over the past 12 months, rising 62.1 percent following 12-month increases of 90.6 percent and 102.9 percent in April 2026 and March 2026, respectively. The last year-over-year price decrease was 10.1 percent in June 2024.
