Some jobs require workers to adapt to changes in their work schedule or location. Almost half of all jobs (47.6 percent) have work schedules that vary from a regular pattern. In nearly a quarter (23.0 percent) of jobs, the work location changes more than four times per year. About three-quarters of home health aides and police patrol officers have to adapt to changing work schedules. Large shares of home health aides and police patrol officers also must change their work location more than four times per year.
