Revisions to Productivity and Costs for Detailed Industries - November 2024

On November 27, 2024, BLS released revised compensation and unit labor costs data from the following releases:

The revisions are a result of incorporating new and revised source data from the BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW). Also released are 2023 measures for the Accommodation (NAICS 721) and Traveler accommodation (NAICS 7211) industries advancing the previously released data by one year.

Some productivity data series were incorrect in materials first published on June 27, 2024. This impacted indexes, levels, and rates of change for sectoral output, real sectoral output, labor productivity, output per worker, and unit labor costs which are amended with this release for the following industries:
