Employment Projections

Projections Evaluations Homepage

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) publishes 10-year projections of the labor force, the macroeconomy, and detailed industry and occupational employment. Periodically, BLS evaluates prior projections to help data users understand the inherent limitations of the projections methods and to allow an internal review of the underlying assumptions and methods.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on data for 2020, BLS did not evaluate the 2010–20 projections. BLS is in the process of evaluating previous evaluations.
