Both payroll employment (+64,000) and unemployment rate (4.6%) change little in November

Total nonfarm payroll employment changed little in November (+64,000) and has changed little since April. The November unemployment rate was 4.6 percent, little changed from September. Employment rose in health care and construction in November, while federal government continued to lose jobs.
